Shilajit is a pitch-black sticky compound found in Himalayan mountainous rocks high in 16000 feet for thousands of years.

In different parts of the world, Shilajit has been described as ‘’mountain-wax’’, ‘’rock-pitch’’, ‘’mineral-oil’’, ‘’stone-oil’’,
‘’mountain-blood’’ or ‘’rock-sweat’’.

It oozes slowly out of the cracks in rocks due to the warmth of the sun-light. It starts appearing over centuries from the slow
de-composition of plants.
